Project Background


With the rapid development of 5G technology, network signal coverage has become an important indicator to measure the progress of communication technology. A Spanish innovative technology company is dedicated to developing new signal receivers to address the issue of poor signal in remote areas. After developing an outdoor 5G signal receiver, the company found our company and hoped we could customize the molds and conduct mass production for them.






Project Challenges


This project involves a signal receiver with 7 components, including plastic, silicone, and die-casting parts, requiring high precision in mold design and manufacturing. Additionally, as the product will be used in outdoor environments, the client has strict requirements for waterproofing performance. Moreover, a large number of copper nuts need to be welded to the plastic components, posing a challenge in terms of production efficiency and quality control.







Solutions of Alpine Mold



Mold Design: After receiving the client's drawings, our engineering team first conducted a DFM report analysis to ensure the rationality of the product design, including critical parameters such as gate location, draft angle, and wall thickness. After the client confirmed the DFM report, we began designing the mold drawings to ensure that the mold could meet the production requirements of the product.








Mold Manufacturing: We used precision manufacturing equipment and selected S136 steel for mold processing. Through CNC roughing, finishing, and mirror EDM machining, we ensured the high precision and long service life of the mold. Our experienced mold fitter team was responsible for mold assembly and polishing, further enhancing the manufacturing quality of the mold.




Injection Molding: After the mold is completed, we conduct mold trials and produce T0 samples. Our mold trial master, who has 20 years of experience in the mold industry, will shoot videos of the molded products and send them to the client, along with the samples for confirmation. Once the samples are approved by the client, our production supervisor will arrange for mass production to ensure timely delivery.







Waterproof Testing: To meet the client's strict requirements for waterproofing performance, we conducted waterproof testing after completing the T1 samples. By simulating outdoor environments, we verified the waterproofing performance of the product, ensuring that it could withstand practical use.




Posting Processing: We are committed to providing customers with comprehensive and efficient one-stop services, covering manufacturing, production, and post-processing of products. When customers need to print their exclusive logos on plastic products or require sandblasting and oxidation treatments for die-casting components, we can provide professional surface treatment services. This comprehensive service model not only greatly simplifies the operational process for customers, but also significantly saves their time and costs, allowing customers to avoid the trouble of finding multiple suppliers.





Client Cooperation and Support: During the project implementation, there were some minor issues in the client's product design that needed to be modified. Our engineering team actively cooperated and provided free design modifications and optimal solutions for the client. Meanwhile, to meet the client's tight delivery schedule, our departments collaborated closely to ensure the timely completion of the project.
