About this project



With the booming of new energy vehicle market, the demand for outdoor charging piles is increasing. Recently, we have received a request for quotation from a well-known charging pile manufacturer, who would like us to manufacture the entire plastic housing of the Pro charger Wallbox for them. Since the product will be used in outdoor environment for a long time, the plastic material needs to have the characteristics of UV resistance, fire resistance and weather resistance to cope with the complex and changing natural conditions.









Material Selection and Recommendation




In order to meet the customer's special requirements, we thoroughly researched the performance of various plastic materials and finally recommended PC+ABS material for the customer. This material not only has excellent UV resistance, fire prevention and weather resistance. 


At the same time, the customer required the light transmittance of the upper cover part, we chose the model of PC EXL9330, and made a color plate. On the color swatch, we carried out the laser engraving of the logo and conducted a light transmission test. The test results showed that the PC EXL9330 material fully met the customer's expectations, the color of the logo part was clearly visible under the light transmission, and the texture of the product was significantly improved.
